But the AAR review was in a few day and there was still some pieces missing. Incoming fire, a Mayday, smoke, fire...the usual stuff. Her Mech was destroyed, her body was broken, flits of consciousness over 3 weeks...needles and oxygen...fluid and blood. It was all a daze; a half lived nightmare with the pain dulled slightly by the drugs. Funny how medicine works. The same drugs that dulled the pain, ravaged her frontal cortex and brought on the nightmares. 

Oh God, the nightmares....

That's why the AAR was going to tough. She still had no clear idea what was real and what was dreamed.

For me, it was just good to see her again. I had suppressed how I felt for so long I had forgotten how to act around her. But, seeing her again reminded me of what I thought was important. I snapped a quick pic, first one in almost 6 months. She was pissed...her hair all shaved like that was sexy as hell to me, but embarrassing to her.

She was different now. More serious, more strained. But in a way, that might be aright. She's never looked at me this way before. I'm learning that different can be a good thing.

It looks like we both have some adjusting to do....
